Artillery:
Cannons

Militia- basic troops, not much training. Cheap to hire. -5% chance of hitting target.
Light Infantry- More training, more disciplined. More expensive. +10% chance to hit opponent from range.
Cavalry- Specialized training. More disciplined. harder to kill. More expensive. +10% chance of winning when fighting with sabers.
Commanders- Cavalry, or light infantry with a raised pay, and higher ranks. Most expensive. +15% chance of hitting target.
Cannons- fire cannon balls. Most expensive. Move slowly. +15% chance of killing large groups.
